Emily Szott

 

II am from Orland Park, Illinois. I currently attend Western Illinois University where I am an undergraduate with senior standing. I am majoring in biology with an emphasis in zoology. My minors include chemistry, psychology, and geology. I am certified as an advanced open water scuba diver and am a founding member and the treasurer of WIU’s Women in Science organization. My honor’s thesis research examines the quantification of daily otolith increments in young of year Asian carp. After receiving my Bachelor degree from WIU, I want to continue my education and receive a graduate degree specializing in freshwater and marine biology.
